Colossus Motion Capture Actor About Vomit Scenes In Deadpool

In an interview with Comicbook.com, Greg Lasalle (Colossus’ mo-cap actor in Deadpool) revealed that Colossus can’t handle blood (which is, of course, very difficult with the Merc With A Mouth around) and that he had to film a lot of vomiting sequences:

”Absolutely. Colossus can’t stand the sight of blood, so he almost instantaneously vomits when he see’s blood,” Lasalle says. Trying to vomit when you’re acting is, physically, an incredibly physically draining thing. Unfortunately, since motion capture, like I was saying, you just do the takes, loop and loop and loop. By the time you do 10 vomit sequences, and there aren’t that many in the film, but you’re doing it over and over again to try and modify that. I actually was almost really vomiting on the cameras, because your whole body has to get into it to make it look real. You know, you can’t pretend to vomit, it’ll look like you pretend to vomit. So at one point Tim Miller, was like, ‘Dude, you got to stop, because you’re going to pass out and you’re going to throw up on the cameras.’ That was incredibly physically challenging.”

This will make for some great comedic moments in the film. We are just two weeks away from the release of the much anticipated movie. The wait will undoubtly be rewarded on February 12, when Deadpool will be released in theatres everywhere.
