Expecto patronum! Tom Felton, best known for playing antagonist Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, has reportedly been cast as a series regular for The Flash‘s third season. TVLine.com is reporting that Felton will be playing Julian Dorn, working at Central City PD along Barry in CSI. According to the report, his character  “suspects there’s more to Barry Allen than just his good guy reputation”.

Aside from playing Draco Malfoy throughout the entirety of the eight Harry Potter movies, he co-starred in the first season of TNT’s drama Murder in the First and has had roles in DirecTV’s Full Circle and the historical miniseries Labyrinth.

The Flash will be going into it’s third season, presumably picking up with a story line based on the Flashpoint Paradox comic story-arc of the same name. It is unclear how else Felton’s character will factor into the season’s storyline, but it can be assumed that his character will only exist in the altered version of the show’s timeline.

Are you excited to see the Harry Potter star join The Flash? He joins the ranks of actors like Victor Garber and Mark Hamill, all lending their big screen acting chops to the CW superhero show. Let us know what you think about the casting in the comments!
