How The DCEU Can Differentiate Deathstroke From Its ‘Arrow’ Counterpart

Amidst all the rest of the big news dropping this month Ben Affleck dropped a bombshell by releasing a video of Deathstroke out of nowhere which took the entire internet by storm. The Wrap would later confirm that Deathstroke would appear as the main antagonist in Affleck’s first Batman film.

This cryptic video means so much in many ways to the comic fans around the globe. Thanks to Affleck, it now means that we will soon get to see the orange-and-black mercenary/assassin in his very first live-action feature film. It was a tremendously exciting announcement for those familiar with the terrifying Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke The Terminator. Though it will not be the first time when we will see him in live action (shout out to Arrow fans).

When Manu Bennett dawned the role of Deathstroke in DCTV’s series Arrow, it instantly became a hit among fans. Ask any Arrow fan, and most of them will say that one of the best aspects of season two was Manu Bennett as DC supervillain Slade Wilson. But it’s crystal clear now that any chance of a future Deathstroke appearance on Arrow is gone. Fans have already began theorizing on the differences between DCTV’s Deathstroke and his possible DCEU variant.

Since Manu Bennett did such a stellar job as the one eyed assassin it’s going to be a monumental task for any other actor to match the bar set by him. However, DCEU’s adaptation of the character is going to be different from its TV version but comparison is bound to happen. So let’s look how The Terminator can vary on big screen.
