The Lego Batman Movie will be coming out early next year, and some news recently dropped about a new voice actor. Billy Dee Williams will be voicing one of Batman’s largest rivals. Williams actually played Harvey Dent in the 1989 Batman. While he was so close, he never actually got to play Two-Face, until now.
Director Chris McKay recently confirmed the role via Twitter. He was asked if Williams was going to be voicing Two-Face, in which McKay replied with a confirmation.
The film has a good crew set to voice some iconic characters. Will Arnett will be voicing Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Cera has the privilege of voicing Dick Grayson/Robin, and Zach Galifinakis will be taking on The Joker. Those are just a few of the many stars lined up for the film.
With a February 2017 release date slated, we should expect to see much more of this film soon as far as marketing.
While this movie won’t be to the seriousness of the past few films, fans can expect a more lighthearted tone from the Dark Knight. Seeing as it is a Lego movie, it shouldn’t be surprising to see them take some jabs at past iterations, and play on the fact that it is a Lego world.
