The Collector Might Be Returning For ‘Avengers: Infinity War’
The last time we saw Benicio Del Toro’s character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Collector, the power stone had blown up pretty much everything that he owned.
We’ve known for some time that he wouldn’t be making an appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but that doesn’t mean that the character wouldn’t ever pop up in the MCU again. With so much focus on movies that are intergalactic in scale, and with the Collector personally owning so many relics of the MCU, it only makes sense that we run into him again at some point.
Rumors have already been circulating that Del Toro would reprise his role for the upcoming Avengers film, Infinity War. Nothing official has been released on the topic, but Del Toro was recently in Atlanta where the movie is currently filming. A picture of the actor in Atlanta’s Criminal Records surfaced on Instagram, and the rest is history.
Check it out:
This is far from definitive proof that the Collector will be in the film, but it seems coincidental that Del Toro just so happens to be in the same city at the same time filming is taking place. Black Panther is also filming right now in Atlanta, but we think that Infinity War makes a whole lot more sense.
What do you guys think? Will we see Benicio Del Toro’s Collector in Avengers: Infinity War? Let us know what you think down below in the comments.
Avengers: Infinity War is set for a theatrical release on May 4th, 2018.
