‘Deadpool 2’ Casting Of Cable To Be Announced Soon?

Deadpool 2 is sure to be another hit. The first film got astounding reviews, so it’s sequel has a large reputation to live up to. Set to release in 2018, this film will look to include a wider scope of characters, including Cable.

Writers Rhett Reese, and Paul Wernick recently spoke about the casting of Cable, and how fans should be on their toes for an announcement coming soon.

“An announcement will be coming very soon. We’re gonna go into production in the next couple of months and cast announcements will be coming fast and furious.”

While mildly vague, from their quote we can infer that we may be getting a bigger slew of accomplices than we thought. Domino has already been cast, but this quote makes it sound as if there is a good deal of others waiting. The writers continued on, mentioning what they’re looking for in Cable.

“Someone with a great deadpan thing where they can react to someone who’s being crazy. Physically imposing and able to emote, it’s a tough one.

Lastly, Wernick mentioned the Actor of Cable will have to “carry a franchise moving forward.”

“They’ve got X-Force coming up. Cable is head of the X-Force so it’s someone who can also command a movie franchise. It’s a tall task and we have been on the hunt for a very long time. I think once it’s announced, as we get closer, people are gonna go crazy for it.”

Who do you think will get to play Cable? What other characters might show up? Let us know in the comments below!
