‘Venom’, ‘Black Cat’ Films To Be “Adjuncts” To ‘Spider-Man’ Films!

Fans got excited with the news of a solo Venom movie on the horizon. The character, one of Spider-Man’s greatest adversaries, deserves a branch of his own in the MCU. Funny enough, the film originally was set to take place outside of the MCU, and it still might. However, Amy Pascal, and Kevin Feige have spoken, and it sounds like there is a glimmer of hope for a crossover!

In the video below, Pascal describes the films as “adjuncts” to the Spider-Man film, saying that they take place in the “same world” as the one Peter Parker lives in. She went on to say that “there is always a chance” that Parker could show up in either of this films.

This whole scenario is a little strange, but slightly reassuring. While the films still sound as if they’ll have no more connection to the MCU than the lone string that is Peter Parker, if a crossover or cameo were to happen, it could lead future films to tie in more to the MCU. At this point, it’s hard to say what will happen with each of the films, but as deals continue to be made, don’t count these films out just yet. Check out the entire clip below!
