‘Star Wars’: Original Luke Skywalker Lightsaber Up For Auction!

Have you ever wanted to be a Jedi? Have you ever watched Luke Skywalker do battle, and think to yourself “Hey, I could do that! If only I had a lightsaber!”. Your wishes may be granted, if you participate in the auction for the original Luke Skywalker lightsaber!

The famed and illustrious weapon, which has been passed down through generations in the Star Wars story, is up for auction. The lightsaber (New Hope/Empire Strikes Back/ Force Awakens) is just one of the many items up for sale at Hollywood Auction 89. The auction takes place in Los Angeles, CA from June 26-28, and promises to ask hefty prices for some of the more iconic props being sold.

While this is only a prop, don’t be fooled. This piece is one of the most iconic in movie history. The lightsaber has been seen across time in the Star Wars universe, most recently landing in the hands of Rey from The Force Awakens. While the price tag may not be for mortals, it’s fun to think that there is a possibility it will pass hands, much like in the films.

What do you think the lightsaber will go for at the auction? Let us know in the comments below!
