Tom Holland Talks His Audition Process, Future Goals!

Tom Holland is the new Peter Parker. The young man, who made his MCU debut  in Civil War, will be taking on his solo film of Spider-Man:Homecoming in early July. The film is gathering all kinds of excitement, but we still have a few weeks to wait.

Tom Holland recently spoke about some aspirations in his acting career, including directing. Holland also wants to play James Bond, or Batman! An interesting tidbit for sure. Both roles are large, but who’s to say it can’t happen!

Holland also opened up about his audition process to become Spider-Man. He took on two separate auditions, one with Robert Downey Jr, and one with Chris Evans!

That process was five months. I did eight auditions. I did five self-tapes, and then a screen test with Robert Downey Jr. and a screen test with Chris Evans. In the screen test with Robert Downey Jr., they brought me into the room and I met him. I was so nervous. In my head, I thought, ‘Wow, you look really weird in person. You don’t look like you do onscreen.’ I found out later that I met his stand-in.

A grinding process, but nothing less for finding the next Spider-Man!

Stay tuned for more news on Spider-Man:Homecoming!
