Warner Bros. To Sue Universal For ‘Dark Universe’ Title
It was last week when Universal Pictures officially announced their plans for a new cinematic universe consisting of gods and monsters that’ll be known as Dark Universe. The film universe will contain movies like The Mummy reboot from Alex Kurtzman as that film will be the beginning of the Dark Universe.
The next installment to the universe will be Bride of Frankenstein, with Director Bill Condon. The movie is set to come out on February 14, 2019, starring Javier Bardem as Frankenstein’s Monster. The studio is also developing films for characters such as: Van Helsing, Wolf Man, Invisible Man (starring Johnny Depp).
Nevertheless, there is one problem with that… Warner Bros. Pictures have their own Dark Universe plans with the upcoming slate belonging to DC Comics. Since the announcement of Justice League: Dark, the Dark Universe has served as a working title for the movie, when Guillermo del Toro was first developing it.
While Justice League: Dark doesn’t have a release date as of right now, Warner Bros. did choose the working title Dark Universe several months before Universal Studios decided to do so.
