‘The Flash’ S04 To Look At The Speed Force Effects On Barry

The Flash season 4 is on it’s way, and with it, will come the return of Barry Allen. At the end of last season, fans saw Barry willingly take a trip into the Speed Force, leaving his friends  and family behind. He will be making a  return at some point early in Season 4, and will be a different man after his experiences.

Grant Gustin, the man behind Barry Allen, recently opened up about what the Speed Force has done to Barry.

We’re not necessarily going to see Barry’s experience in the Speed Force. We’ll see kind of the effects that the Speed Force has had on Barry, and he’s been in there six months real-time. I suspect the Speed Force is kind of nonlinear with time, so Barry has experienced his entire life from start to end infinity times over since he’s been in there.

He’s going to have kind of an awakening when he comes out. He’s going to have some knowledge that he probably doesn’t even quite understand yet. He’ll also be little scrambled; He won’t really be himself the first time we see him.

It sounds as thought the Speed Force trip will certainly take a toll on Barry. Whatever he learned  while he was in there, hopefully it helps the team out in the later parts of the season. The Speed Force has so much mythology behind it, it will be interesting to see what aspects of it are used.

What do you think about Barry being in the Speed Force? What will be different about him? Let us know in the comments below!
